 Coffee Shop
The Best Fairtrade Organic Coffee UK Minimize

Our passion for great food extends to what we prepare for you to eat in the coffee shop.

Baguettes and panini prepared from the delicious ingredients in the delicatessen, daily specials, soups and many other fabulous dishes.  Whether you're after a quick snack or something more substantial we are pleased to serve you whenever you visit.

We believe our coffee is the best in the area.  Why?  Because we have taken the trouble to ensure that whatever coffee we make - we know how to do it right.  Our coffee is 100% Arabica (the best bean), and it's roasted slowly so you don't get the harsh flavours of some coffees, we ensure our espresso machine is kept clean and that each espresso (the basis for all coffee drinks) pours correctly, and finally we steam the milk for each drink individually so you won't see spatulas and spoons scooping out the foam into the cup!

Our coffee partners, Mozzo are absolutely nuts about coffee - and their passion is infectious.  After all, there's alot of coffee shops out there making BAD coffee.  Either using cheap beans (or worse making bad coffee with good beans), or not grinding the coffee correctly, or leaving ground coffee in the hopper for hours before making coffee with it, or not checking the pour time of the espresso frequently, or overheating the milk, or worse - heating the milk before someone even orders a coffee!  There's a whole host of reasons why bad coffee is made in this country - and we're determined not to add another outlet to the huge list of places making BAD coffee.

So, we buy great beans, that are carefully roasted to get just the right flavours from the coffee.  Then we keep small quantities of coffee beans in the hopper, and grind to order.  Then we make sure the espresso pours correctly by grinding it correctly and tamping the coffee to the correct pressure.  Then we steam the milk for your drink using fresh cold milk in a jug that was designed by the World Barista Champion which enables us to blend the milk with the air to get perfect microfoam.  And we use our hands to check the temperature of the milk (not a thermometer which removes the need to THINK).  Then we pour the coffee for you to enjoy!

It's about what goes in... Minimize

Let's face it - it's easy to assemble a sandwich or baguette!  Plenty of places are doing it... but it's not about whether they can, but whether they should!  For three years we have striven to put the best things in our sandwiches, so we use the ingredients that we sell in our deli.  At times we've thought about using cheaper ingredients so that we can be "competitive" with everyone else, but we came to the conclusion that people who use us do so because they like the fact that we use the best things we can, and they've told us so!

Our philosophy is that if you're going to do something you may as well make it the best you can... otherwise there's no point in doing it!

If you visit us, and have something to eat with us (or take it away), we hope that you will really enjoy it, and that you will come back again and again, and maybe next time bring some friends!

So you will find that whether it's a humble cheese & tomato baguette or one of our daily specials, it will be the best we can make it, just as our coffee is the best we can make it with the best beans we have found...  Mozzo

Some of our favourites from our menu Minimize

Inspired by one of our supplier delivery drivers, Ray (from New York) - Our organic topside of beef fried gently in Extra Virgin Olive oil with a few slices of red onion and served hot in a baguette with some mayonaise... simple but effective and very delicious!

Or how about our newest panini?  "Red Devil" cheese (Red Leceister with chilli), Chorizo piccante & Peppadew peppers... oh... and a splash of chilli sauce!

Or maybe one of our delicious savoury focaccia tarts (made using organic ingredients by one of our London suppliers), warmed in the oven, and served with a side salad?

Gluten Free?  Have you tried our Clives Pies?  Delicious even if you're not gluten free!

About Mozzo Coffee Minimize

The Mozzo Story

A long, long time ago (2005), Grant Lang, aka Mozzoman graduated from University with the dream of bringing people together through his two favourite things coffee and art.
Disgruntled by the continuing struggles of local artistic talent and the lack of community spirit, Mozzoman set out to create a hub, or 'Mozzo' in Italian, where he could begin to fulfil the Mozzo dream.

Thinking outside the cup, Mozzoman wanted to do this in a way that ensured the dream came true for everyone involved.

With the help of industry experts, coffee fans and his very own palate, Mozzoman got to work on sourcing, blending and ultimately creating the UK's first 100% Fairtrade, 100% Organic, 100% Arabica espresso coffee.

So with these Magic Mozzo Beans in hand, all Mozzoman needed now, was to find his own little Mozzo (hub!).

Mozzo 'think outside the cup'

Not your average guy, Mozzoman was never going to accept a standard café and instead, converted a Tuk Tuk van all the way from India into the first solar, wind powered mobile café cart in the world.

Staying true to his dream, he hung the work of local artists on the Mozzo cart and began taking coffee and art to the people.

As the news spread of the Magic Mozzo Beans, Mozzoman began to add a little Mozzo magic to his favourite cafés, restaurants and bars. From these humble beginnings, Mozzo are now ready to let the rest of the world experience the finest 100% Fairtrade, 100% Organic, 100% Arabica premium espresso coffee.

Mozzo will continue to bring people, coffee and art together to make sure the Mozzo dream comes true for everyone involved.
